People sometimes ask me if I make “sets”.  Nope!  And, well, kind of, yes – in the sense that you see in this photo.  I would like to think of my work as “related, but not twins”.  A person who makes things by hand, brings certain features to the work that can not be accomplished by a machine.  Those little touches and quirks and differences should be treasured.  Machines are great for repetitive mass-production.  I have no desire to compete with them on those levels.  People are good at harmony and relationships.  I try to bring those concepts to my work.
