We call a lot of things "blue".  This bowl is rich with deep blue color accented by flashes of red, brown, and gold.  The Iron in the Stoneware clay adds specs and depth to the color development.  Sized just right for holding in your hand, but, yes, you can choose to sit it on the table if you prefer! ;-)
